Believing God is Good…Even When He’s Not Blessing Your Life


I have the same problem as a lot of Christians. God decides to bless me with something in life and I (figuratively and sometimes literally) raise my hands and shout “Hallelujah!”, “God is good!”

But then….maybe God decides to either remove that blessing or not continue blessing me….and my hands slowly fall back to my sides. God doesn’t seem so good anymore.

We’re getting it all wrong. Why do we base God’s goodness on whether He blesses us or not?

Why do we view God as good or bad based on what He does, instead of knowing He’s good because of who He is?

To the Broken, the Burdened, the Pained In Life…


I know I haven’t posted on here in ages. I did do some posting over here on another blog I started.

Christmas is just over. Most of us have unwrapped all the presents we are getting, had meals with family,  caroled and gone to church and finished all the events relating to Christmas.

Fear in the Life of the Christian


I struggle with fear sometimes. Sometimes I catch myself worrying about, “what if…..?”, and often the thing I think of is not very probable.

But I used to think that something was wrong when I was fearful. Which, it is. But I used to think that a Christian would never be afraid.

When It’s Raining On Your Life


I can see the rain pouring down outside of our windows. Here on the East Coast, it feels like a tropical storm.

I always tend to get slightly depressed by rainy days. I don’t know why, because I love the way everything outside turns so bright, vivid green after a shower.

But it’s the same way with rain in our lives. Don’t you ever have a rainy day? Where something is ruined, something is spoiled, and it just makes you miserable?
