Being Filled with LOVE

DSCF3356 - Copy.JPG

The greatest commandment in the Bible is to

“Love the LORD your GOD with all your heart, and with all your soul, and with all your mind..”  (Matthew 22:37)

and the second to

“Love your neighbor as yourself” (Matthew 22:39)

If these are the first and second commandments, love is an important (and powerful) thing.

But what about the days you just feel like strangling anyone who crosses your path?

Weekend Inspiration: Lego Artist

I’ve seen this artist before, if you’ve watched the Lego Brickumentary  you’ll get a preview of his wonderful work (plus other amazing lego information!).

This video shows his great work, a true artist.

Legos are SOOOO cool. My geeky side loves them 🙂 The only thing is I don’t handle them much, because our family only has a few sets.

Be inspired to create art in whatever form you choose!

Fashion Inspiration : Summer Blue Floral

I don’t know why I always love blue in summer. Maybe it’s the connotation of blue with cool ocean water?

This outfit just nails summer style. It’s cool (and blue). It’s pretty. It’s layers. And lace.

I love that the pieces are either blue or cream, but the skirt combines them.

They have the skirt for pattern, the shirt and jacket for texture, the necklace, bracelet, and earrings for some bling, and the plainer shoes and purse to bring it all together.

Good Book : Captivating

Captivating: Unveiling the Mystery of a Woman's Soul

Captivating by John & Stasi Eldredge

If you have not read this book, I highly recommend it. I haven’t finished reading it myself, but I am enjoying it.

Too many of the books on Godly womanhood are either from an entirely feminist, throw-the-Biblical-roles-out-the-window, or the be-a-silent-but-smiling-lady and do these couple things and you’re Godly.

Captivating is different.

Looking Back : Things I’ve Learned in the Past Year

DSCF3340.JPG

Whenever we reach an important moment in our life, however small (important things can be small), we tend to view it as a ‘pausing point’; we look back at where we’ve been before we turn to where we are going.

I thought it’d be fun to write a couple things I’ve learned in the past year. I DO have a sense of humor, so I’ll add some little things to my list….and you’ll get to know a bit more about me by reading this 🙂
